Defrost is a 3D third-person exploration platformer set entirely inside a fridge. It is inspired
by exploration games with connected maps and open-ended discovery. The world is full of danger,
shortcuts, secrets, and strange characters who may or may not be worth saving.
The story points the player in the right direction, but the route is flexible. Many areas can be
reached early, but survival, knowledge, and movement skills decide how far the player can really
go.

One-Minute Trailer Talk Track For YouTubers
Defrost is a 3D third-person exploration game set entirely inside a huge fridge that is slowly melting. You play as a tiny hero moving through connected areas, jumping, climbing, collecting coins, and unlocking upgrades that help you explore more of the world. The game mixes platforming, light combat, and exploration in a setting that feels strange, playful, and tense at the same time.
What makes it stand out is the scale of the world and the way movement drives progress. Shelves, containers, and frozen corners all become part of one large map. Many places can be seen early, but you may not be ready for them until you get better movement skills and learn more about the world. That gives the game a strong sense of discovery, because you are always spotting new routes, hidden paths, and places you want to come back to later.
The fridge is also full of strange characters who may need help, and helping them can lead to upgrades, new areas, or more story. At the center of it all is the big mystery: why is the fridge defrosting, and can anything still be saved before everything is gone? If you like exploration games with strong movement, a connected world, and a very unusual setting, Defrost is one to keep an eye on.

What is Defrost?
Defrost is a 3D third-person exploration game set inside a huge fridge. You play as a tiny hero who jumps, climbs, fights, and explores connected areas. As you upgrade your abilities, the world changes and new paths open.
Where did the idea for the game come from?
I liked the idea of taking a normal everyday place and turning it into a strange world to explore. A fridge already has shelves, boxes, drawers, cold areas, and hidden corners, so it felt like a fun place for a game. I also wanted a setting that felt playful but could still have danger and mystery.
What makes Defrost different from other exploration games?
The biggest difference is the setting and the sense of scale. Everything in the fridge is large compared to the player, so familiar objects feel new again. Movement is also very important, because each new ability helps you reach places you saw before but could not get to yet.
What kind of experience do you want players to have?
I want players to feel curious all the time. I want them to see a place in the distance and think, "How do I get there?" I also want movement to feel fun on its own, so exploring the world is enjoyable even before you find a secret or upgrade.
How do story and characters fit into the game?
The story gives the player a reason to keep moving forward, but it does not remove the freedom to explore. The strange characters in the fridge help make the world feel alive. Some of them need help, and helping them can lead to rewards, new places, or more story.
What has been the biggest challenge in development so far?
One big challenge has been making the world feel large without making it confusing. I want players to feel free, but I also want them to understand where they are and where they can go next. Another challenge is making movement feel smooth and responsive in a 3D world with combat and exploration.
What should players or creators watch for in the trailer?
I think they should watch for the scale of the world first. Small things in real life become huge in the game. They can also look at how movement works, how areas connect to each other, and the mix of mystery, strange characters, and exploration.
What's next for Defrost?
Right now I am focused on improving the game, adding more content, and showing it to more players. The main goals are to keep building interest, get more wishlists on Steam, and prepare for a demo. I want each new update to make the world feel more complete and more exciting to explore.
