Tankive

Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026

Summary

Tankive has no developer account, ads, tracking, or analytics. Aquarium records are stored on the device and, when enabled, in the user's iCloud account.

Tankive is developed and published by Arnold Sallay. This policy explains how the iPhone and iPad app handles information.

Data stored on the device

Tankive stores aquarium names, setup details, water tests, care tasks, feeding and dosing records, livestock, plants, equipment, observations, photos selected by the user, expenses, notes, settings, and export history in the app's private storage. This data remains available for local use without a network connection.

iCloud sync and sharing

When iCloud is available, Tankive uses Apple CloudKit to sync aquarium data through the user's iCloud account. If the owner shares an aquarium, Apple CloudKit makes the shared records available to invited participants according to the access selected by the owner. Radiant Bear Games does not operate an aquarium-data server and cannot view the contents of a user's private or shared CloudKit records.

Apple processes iCloud account, sync, sharing, and service information under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Photos and notifications

Tankive uses Apple's system photo picker. The app receives only the photos the user selects. It does not request access to the full photo library. Notification permission is optional and is used only for care reminders chosen by the user. Reminder content is scheduled through Apple system services.

Subscriptions

Optional Tankive Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. Tankive uses StoreKit to read signed product, transaction, and entitlement information. Arnold Sallay does not receive payment card details or Apple Account credentials. Apple may provide sales and subscription reports that include product, storefront, and transaction information.

Collection, tracking, and third parties

Tankive has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, social login, or developer account system. The app does not sell personal data or use aquarium records for advertising. Core services are provided only by Apple frameworks, including CloudKit, StoreKit, Photos Picker, notifications, and WidgetKit.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until the user removes them or deletes the app. Archived aquarium records remain stored so the history can be restored. Deleting the app removes its local container, subject to device backups managed by Apple. Data stored in iCloud is managed through the user's iCloud account and Apple settings. An aquarium owner can stop sharing through Apple's sharing controls. Invited participants can leave a share through Apple sharing controls.

Radiant Bear Games cannot directly delete private CloudKit records because it cannot access them. For help finding the relevant device or iCloud controls, contact support.

Children

Tankive is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy will be updated before a new app version changes how data is collected, used, or shared. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
