Wishlist Notifier

Privacy Policy

Effective August 25, 2026

The short version

Your Steamworks key, App IDs, game names, and reports are not collected by Radiant Bear Games. Live Steam requests go directly from your device to Valve.

Wishlist Notifier is an independent iOS and iPadOS application developed by Radiant Bear Games. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation.

Data stored on your device

Wishlist Notifier stores the Steam App IDs you choose, wishlist reports, sales reports, public Steam store information, review summaries and recent reviews, current player snapshots, public news references, events, goals, refresh history, notification preferences, and app settings in the app's private container. It stores your Financial API Group Web API key in the iOS Keychain using device-only protection. This data is stored only on your device. Preview data is generated locally and is not transmitted.

Data sent to Valve

When you request a live report, Wishlist Notifier sends your Financial API Group key, selected Steam App IDs, reporting checkpoints, and requested report dates directly to Valve's partner API over HTTPS. The credential is sent in an authentication header rather than in the URL. Valve returns wishlist and detailed sales reports. The app also requests public store details, reviews, current player counts, and news directly from Valve without sending your financial key to those public endpoints. The Radiant Bear Games notification server is not an intermediary for these requests and cannot access them.

Valve handles information it receives under the Valve Privacy Policy and applicable Steam agreements. Wishlist Notifier does not share information with advertising, analytics, or data-broker partners.

Collection, tracking, and accounts

Wishlist Notifier contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. Radiant Bear Games does not collect your API key, Steam App IDs, game names, wishlist reports, sales reports, events, goals, exports, or report history. Radiant Bear Games does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, sell your data, or create an online account for you.

Push notification service

When Pro notifications are enabled, the app sends an Apple-issued push token, a random installation identifier, an App Attest public-key identifier, the selected refresh interval, and delivery status and duration to Radiant Bear Games. The service uses this information only to schedule opaque wake signals, protect the service from unauthorized clients, and confirm delivery. Push tokens are encrypted at rest. Delivery records are deleted after seven days. The service never receives notification text or any Steam credential, App ID, game name, or report value.

Apple Push Notification service delivers the wake signal. After iOS wakes the app, the device contacts Valve directly and generates any visible wishlist notification locally. Push delivery is best-effort and may be delayed, combined, or omitted by iOS. The service may process an IP address transiently for security rate limiting, but the application does not store it.

Subscriptions

Optional Wishlist Notifier Pro subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Wishlist Notifier uses Apple StoreKit and checks Apple's signed transaction and entitlement results on your device to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked. Apple independently processes Apple Account, transaction, storefront, payment, diagnostics, and related platform information under App Store & Privacy. Apple may provide Radiant Bear Games with App Store sales and subscription reporting, such as the subscription purchased, country or region, and an Apple-assigned Subscriber ID. Radiant Bear Games does not receive or store your payment card details or Apple Account credentials.

Retention, deletion, and consent

Local data remains until you delete it or it falls outside the rolling 90-day reporting window. Delete a tracked game to erase its locally stored wishlist, sales, public Steam, event, and goal data. Choose Remove API Key in Settings to erase the credential. Removing the key does not delete reports already stored on the device. CSV files you export are controlled by the location or app where you save or send them. Deleting the app removes its app-container data. iOS may retain Keychain items, so remove the key before deleting the app if you want it erased immediately. You can revoke or rotate the key in Steamworks at any time.

Notifications are optional. If allowed, the server may send an opaque background wake signal and the app may post a local notification after its on-device check detects new wishlist additions. Disable notifications per game, remove the API key, or end Pro access to request immediate deletion of the server registration. Invalid APNs registrations are also deleted. Deleting the app prevents it from sending an explicit deletion request; the registration is removed after Apple reports its push token as invalid.
