Use the image you already have
A photo, sketch, or earlier generation can be the starting point. Add it as a reference in Simple, choose an editing model, and describe what you want to change. You can try a new direction without writing a description of the whole scene.
Choose one reference or bring several
FLUX.2 Klein accepts one reference image and has a smaller download of about 4.7 GB. Qwen Image Edit 2511 accepts up to three references, so you can describe how a subject, setting, and other details should work together. Both can also generate images from text alone.
Your images stay on your Mac
Prompts, reference images, and results are processed locally. After downloading your model, you can edit offline. There is no account to create and no cloud credit balance to manage.
Start editing for free
Reference image editing in Simple is included in the free app, within the free square image sizes. PRO adds advanced controls and the Image Edit step in Studio. Eligible customers can try PRO free for 3 days on the monthly plan; it then renews at the monthly price unless canceled.
Make your first edit
- Open Model Manager and download FLUX.2 Klein or Qwen Image Edit 2511. Both need at least 16 GB of unified memory.
- In Simple, choose the model and add a reference image. With Qwen, you can add up to three.
- Describe the change and name any details you want to keep.
- Generate the result and compare it with your reference. Adjust the prompt and try again if needed.
Three prompts to try
- Change the background to a quiet garden in morning light. Keep the chair and its shape.
- Turn this sketch into a colored illustration with soft shading. Keep the same composition.
- Use the chair from image 1 in the room from image 2. Place it beside the bookshelf.
Use Qwen for the two-image example. These prompts are starting points. AI editing can also change details you asked it to keep, so check each result.
Save a repeatable process in Studio
When an edit becomes part of a larger project, connect an Image Edit step to other tools in Studio. You can keep references, prompts, and processing steps together in a workflow you save for later. Running Image Edit in Studio requires PRO.
What your Mac needs
Radiant Canvas requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26.2 or later. Both editing models require at least 16 GB of unified memory. Qwen recommends 32 GB and needs about 19.9 GB for its model download. Model Manager shows the requirements before you download.
