Radiant Canvas organizes five supported model choices in Model Manager and keeps prompt, size, seed, enhancement, output, queue, history, and Gallery in a focused native Mac workflow. It is designed for people who mainly want to choose a model, describe an image, generate, and save the result.

Choose Draw Things for a deeper studio

Draw Things officially offers a much wider model ecosystem plus ControlNet, inpainting, outpainting, pose editing, image-to-image, video, an infinite canvas, scripts, model imports, and on-device LoRA training. Those capabilities make it the stronger choice for advanced experimentation and editing.

The practical difference

Radiant Canvas intentionally trades breadth for clarity: five tested model paths, visible download sizes, a searchable local Gallery, and a free core with optional PRO formats and controls. Draw Things trades simplicity for reach. Neither app is universally better. The right choice depends on whether you value a shorter learning curve or a larger toolbox.

Draw Things and Radiant Canvas both run image models on Apple devices, but they are arranged around different kinds of work. Draw Things includes a large set of creation and editing tools. Radiant Canvas keeps the main path centered on choosing one of five supported models, writing a prompt, and saving the result in a local gallery.

The extra tools in Draw Things matter if you want to paint masks, extend an image, guide poses, create video, import many types of model, write scripts, or train a LoRA. That range can save an experienced user from moving between several apps. It also means there are more controls and ideas to learn.

Radiant Canvas makes more sense when those advanced tasks are not part of your normal process. Model Manager shows a short list with download sizes and general strengths.
